Project description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Data Modeller to drive the delivery of a strategic data warehouse and integration programme built on Snowflake. This is a high-impact role responsible for orchestrating a complex, multi-stream initiative that underpins our portfolio management platform used by global asset managers.

You will coordinate with cross-functional teams spanning data engineering, architecture, product, and client delivery, ensuring the programme is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery

o Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business objectives

o Define data models for broad range of financial instruments

o Determine the appropriate representation for each trade type and ensure a standardised data model that can be applied

o Drive AI usage within the program

o Build a view of the upstream and downstream systems and their required usage of data

  • Stakeholder Management

o Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders across technology, product, and client teams

o Manage expectations, communicate progress, and escalate risks effectively

o Facilitate workshops to gather and refine business and data requirements

SKILLS

Must have

  • Domain Experience

o Proven experience in complex capital market projects

o Experience delivering data warehouse or data platform initiatives

  • Data & Technology Awareness

o Solid understanding of modern data architectures, including cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake)

o Familiarity with data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, pipelines, APIs, data modelling)

o Ability to engage effectively with architects and engineers without needing to be hands-on

o Strong understanding of a broad range of financial instruments across FX, MM, IRD, EQD

  • Delivery Methodologies

o Strong experience with Agile methodologies and tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

o Ability to operate in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments where needed

o Able to analyse and interrogate data formats such as XML, fPML

  • Stakeholder Management

o Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences

o Experience working with senior stakeholders and clients in a delivery-critical environment

Nice to have

  • Financial Services Domain

o Experience in asset management, portfolio management systems, or financial data platforms

Nice to Have

  • Experience delivering Snowflake-based platforms specifically
  • Familiarity with data governance and regulatory requirements in financial services
  • Experience with Murex, or similar platforms
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile certifications)
