Role description
We are looking for General QA Engineer to join our team and help us build a modern, highly automated testing workflow. You'll be working on a mobile product integrated with smart watches and hardware sensor data. We value an innovative, forward-thinking testing approach over traditional manual scripting.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for mobile (iOS & Android) applications;
- Perform functional and non-functional manual testing for iOS mobile applications and smart watch integrations.
- Maintain and scale mobile test automation using TypeScript with Appium or similar tools.
- Actively practice CrossFit / functional fitness and test the app during workouts, documenting your personal training experience for AI agents to expand regression testing suites and catch complex edge cases.
- Test and validate real-world wearable device scenarios, including Smart Watches, IMU sensor data syncing, and hardware integrations during active training sessions.
- Focus on mobile automation as a priority, ensuring high coverage for core functional flows;
- Identify, document, and track bugs found during automated runs in Jira or other bug tracking systems;
- Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, and provide detailed reports;
- Work closely with the development team and Manual QA to identify candidates for automation.
- 3+ years of commercial experience in QA (combining Manual and Mobile Automation testing) with a focus on iOS mobile applications.
- Hands-on experience with mobile test automation frameworks: XCUITest (Swift) or Appium.
- Proficiency with Apple ecosystem & debugging tools: Xcode, iOS Simulators, and Xcode Instruments.
- Strong domain knowledge and active personal experience with CrossFit or functional training to understand workouts, movement, and user needs firsthand.
- Proven track record of designing complex end-to-end user workflows rather than basic, naive tests.
- Experience with API testing (REST) and automating API calls to support service-level and integration testing.
- English level Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher for team collaboration and documentation.
- Working hours are from 15:00 to 23:00 to ensure team alignment.
