About the role
You will join the SD-WAN Controller QA team, focused on testing and automating validation of the frontend/UI layer of SD-WAN controllers. The role involves developing scalable automation frameworks and methodologies, improving test stability and coverage, and preventing regressions in the overall product experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop foundational automation components and methodologies to address UI testing and validation challenges
- Architect and enhance test automation frameworks to simplify test development across different areas of the product
- Build and maintain UI test automation using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, WebdriverIO, and Cypress
- Design and execute automated UI test scenarios covering functional and regression testing
- Identify and resolve flaky automation scripts to improve test stability, coverage, performance, and maintainability
- Develop solutions to prevent regressions and continuously improve the quality of the product experience
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools
- Report and track defects, collaborating closely with development and engineering teams
- Support cross-layer testing efforts alongside platform, backend, and networking engineers
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in UI test automation / QA automation / SDET roles
- Strong coding skills in Python
- Hands-on experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Protractor, WebdriverIO, and Cypress
- Familiarity with HTTP, RESTful web services, and Robot Framework
- Good understanding of JavaScript
- Good knowledge of SQL
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or similar technologies
- Experience with source control tools such as GitHub
- General networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, HTTP, and routing/switching protocols such as OSPF, BGP, STP, and VLAN
- Hands-on experience with additional UI automation tools such as TestComplete or UFT will be a plus
- Knowledge of SD-WAN will be a plus
- Cisco certifications: CCNA and/or CCNP will be a plus
- Upper-intermediate level of English or higher for collaboration with international teams
