Role description
We're building out our product management team focused on advancing AI-powered solutions and embedding artificial intelligence across the full product lifecycle. As a Senior Product Manager | Applied AI, you'll drive the vision, strategy, roadmap, and delivery for multiple products - with at least one centered on AI - while incorporating AI into your daily routine to accelerate work, sharpen decisions, and coach fellow Product Managers
Responsibilities
- Carry full responsibility for the vision, strategic direction, roadmap execution, and complete delivery of one or more products, ensuring at least one leverages artificial intelligence
- Establish detailed requirements and use cases for AI functionality by treating them as probabilistic offerings, setting data parameters, use-case alignment, evaluation standards, quality thresholds, safety mechanisms, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints as acceptance criteria
- Discover strategic areas where artificial intelligence can increase product value, customer experience, internal processes, and business outcomes while building and scaling detailed business cases for deployment
- Use AI tools effectively and under careful review throughout product discovery, research synthesis, data analysis, documentation, user story creation, prototyping, and planning, consistently validating outputs before depending on them
- Order product features by priority, maintain product backlogs, and manage release schedules, leveraging AI-supported analytics to enhance rather than replace human decisions
- Supervise the complete product lifecycle, considering the particular operational demands of AI features such as model and version transitions, quality drift, and ongoing human review
- Team up closely with engineering, data, design, and AI/ML groups to convert product goals into practical requirements while navigating technical limitations effectively within product decisions
- Set honest expectations with clients and stakeholders regarding AI capabilities and limits, explaining benefits, risks, and trade-offs through clear, simple language
- Coach fellow Product Managers and build up the team's practical AI expertise by modeling effective use on a daily basis
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Product Management, having successfully led one or more products from launch through ongoing post-launch support
- Established history of bringing multiple products or significant capabilities to market, including hands-on involvement delivering or meaningfully enhancing AI-powered products or features such as generative AI, machine learning, recommendation systems, search algorithms, or automation technology
- Strong ownership demonstrated in product strategy, vision, roadmapping, market analysis, and product visioning, along with proven skill identifying and justifying valuable AI opportunities
- Extensive background managing backlogs, cross-product dependencies, release cycles, product lifecycles, and ongoing customer support approaches
- Thorough knowledge of product profitability, competitive positioning, pricing strategy, and the critical cost, latency, and quality trade-offs that drive AI-feature economics
- Deep expertise spanning 3 or more business domains, enabling you to function as a trusted subject matter resource across the business
- Solid functional AI literacy covering current AI and generative AI/LLM capabilities, dependable boundaries, common patterns, and typical failure modes to inform sound product decisions and credible technical discussions without requiring model-building expertise
- Demonstrated skill influencing diverse stakeholders through VP level and leading all critical elements of complex product launches
- Strong leadership ability guiding a team of Product Owners and Product Managers across a product line through the entire product lifecycle
- Genuine dedication to raising the team's hands-on AI proficiency by sharing proven methods and coaching on requirements and evaluation criteria for AI features
- Consistent daily use of artificial intelligence throughout research, discovery, analysis, documentation, user stories, prototyping, and planning, combined with rigorous output verification
- Proven ability identifying and justifying meaningful AI opportunities within products, operational workflows, customer experiences, and business results
- Comprehensive functional AI literacy covering concepts, terminology, capabilities, and limitations at a depth suitable for product management
- Demonstrated history defining rigorous requirements and use cases for AI features, incorporating evaluation criteria, quality thresholds, guardrails, and human oversight
- Strong skill assessing AI outputs for quality, accuracy, risk, limitations, and overall impact on users
- Deep understanding of responsible-AI principles including data privacy, algorithmic bias, security, transparency, and human oversight
- Demonstrated ability working effectively alongside engineering, data, design, and AI/ML development teams
- Strong adaptability and continued commitment to learning as AI tools and capabilities keep evolving
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Substantial hands-on prototyping experience using AI builder tools to reach near-production fidelity
- Demonstrated ability building product manager agents and multi-step automation to streamline research, backlog management, analytics, and communications
- Deep understanding of AI-feature economics, including cost, latency, and unit economics, together with model lifecycle management covering drift, versioning, and vendor changes
- Awareness of evolving AI regulations such as the EU AI Act and applicable industry-specific compliance requirements
- Previous hands-on experience successfully scaling an AI-powered product to full
