Monitoring & Response
If you are doxxed: preserve evidence (screenshots, URLs, timestamps), report the content for takedown on each platform, escalate to police if there is a credible threat, lock down your accounts, and lean on trusted people and advocacy organizations. Act quickly and do not engage the harassers.
Being doxxed is frightening, and the most useful first move is to slow down enough to preserve evidence. Before anything gets deleted, capture screenshots that include URLs and timestamps. That record is what makes platform reports and any police escalation credible.
Next, report the content through each platform's harassment or doxxing flow so it can be taken down where it lives, and lock down your own accounts — strong unique passwords, two-factor authentication, and tightened privacy settings — so attackers cannot use the exposure to break in further.
If there is a credible threat to your physical safety, escalate to police and bring the evidence you saved. Throughout, lean on trusted people and advocacy organizations rather than facing it alone, and do not engage the harassers — responding usually feeds the attention they want.
