Line Protocol
Line Protocol is measurement, tagset fieldset timestamp — a comma joins the measurement to its indexed tags, spaces separate the three sections, and the nanosecond timestamp is optional.
InfluxDB ingests points as Line Protocol, a compact text format with three space-separated sections.
The measurement and its comma-joined tag set form the first token; tags are indexed strings used to filter and group.
After a space come the fields (the measured values), then an optional space and timestamp — nanoseconds unless you say otherwise.
A comma joins measurement to tags; no space between them.
Spaces separate measurement+tags, fields, and timestamp.
Tags are indexed strings; fields hold the values.

The measurement name comes first and is like a table name; it groups related points.
measurementTags follow the measurement after a comma, comma-separated, with no space — they are indexed string metadata.
,tag1=v1,tag2=v2A single space separates tags from fields; fields are the actual values, comma-separated like tags.
field1=10,field2=20An optional trailing timestamp after a space; nanoseconds by default. Omit it and the server stamps now.
