Role description
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer - Python to set technical direction and deliver reliable, scalable software using Python and modern practices. You will shape designs, lead delivery, and partner across teams while improving CI/CD with GitHub Actions and strengthening database performance in PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server.
Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements, produce technical designs, and align solutions to business objectives
- Lead delivery of high-quality software systems that are scalable, maintainable, and robust
- Perform technical reviews, including code reviews, to enforce best practices, coding standards, and performance targets
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive smooth implementation of features and end-to-end solutions
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues throughout the development lifecycle
- Mentor team members by providing technical leadership and supporting skill growth
- Champion modern engineering processes and tools, including CI/CD practices via GitHub Actions
- Optimize application runtime and database queries to improve efficiency and scalability
- Apply Agile/Scrum practices to plan work and deliver incremental enhancements
- Oversee database architecture design and ensure correct integration with application components
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience of 7-12 years with demonstrated strength in Python
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server for database modeling, tuning, and administration
- Hands-on experience using GitHub Actions to automate workflows and implement CI/CD pipelines
- Practical knowledge of ReactJS to build interactive, dynamic user interfaces
- Solid understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies for collaborative planning and iterative delivery
Nice to have
- Exposure to front-end frameworks other than ReactJS
- Ability to optimize cross-platform application performance
- Knowledge of advanced DevOps practices and tooling
