Role description
We are looking for a Middle Data Engineer to develop and modernize enterprise data integration solutions within a Microsoft-based data ecosystem.
The role combines strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS with growing adoption of Microsoft Fabric for modern ETL/ELT, data warehousing, and analytics workloads.

The project supports enterprise data integration and analytics for a large global manufacturing organization.
The data landscape integrates information from ERP, business applications, APIs, databases, and flat files. The team maintains existing SQL Server / SSIS solutions while progressively adopting Microsoft Fabric and modern cloud-based data architecture.
The role is primarily focused on data engineering, ETL/ELT, integration, and data platform development , rather than dashboard development.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain data integration solutions using SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS .
- Build and support ETL/ELT pipelines in Microsoft Fabric .
- Integrate data from ERP systems, applications, APIs, databases, and files.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Support migration and modernization of legacy data workloads toward Microsoft Fabric.
- Implement data validation, monitoring, logging, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and scheduled ETL processes.
- Support data warehouse and Lakehouse structures for downstream analytics.
- Collaborate with BI, application, and business teams on data requirements.
- Maintain technical documentation and engineering standards.
What you need for this
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, Data Warehousing, or BI development .
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL .
- Experience developing and supporting SSIS packages and ETL processes .
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric .
- Experience with Fabric components such as Data Pipelines, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, or Dataflows Gen2 .
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT patterns , data integration, and data transformation.
- Experience with relational database design and data warehousing concepts .
- Ability to develop and optimize stored procedures, views, functions, and complex SQL queries.
- Experience troubleshooting data pipelines, scheduled jobs, and integration failures.
- Understanding of data validation, error handling, monitoring, and data quality.
- Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems and data sources.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics .
- Understanding of OneLake and Medallion Architecture .
- Experience with Power BI datasets or semantic models.
- Experience integrating ERP systems such as SAP .
- REST API and file-based integrations.
- Git, Azure DevOps, or CI/CD experience.
